Greenpoint Gazette

The Greenpoint Gazette

Since 1973, the Greenpoint Gazette has been “the Voice of Greenpoint.” Covering local politics, entertainment, civic organizations, schools, real estate, and business, we are the longest running English language paper dedicated to the Greenpoint/Williamsburg communities.

To our readers, the Gazette is the primary source of information for community events, housing, neighborhood initiatives, and most importantly, the community businesses that serve them.

Our readership not only includes Greenpoint/Williamsburg/Bushwick, but also East Williamsburg, lower Manhattan and Long Island City in Queens. Like our readers, we are dedicated to our neighborhood and keeping a historical record of this ever-changing, vibrant community.

Jeff Mann is the Publisher of the Greenpoint Gazette. Since taking over the more than 40 year old community newspaper in 2007, Mann has more than doubled its readership, by incorporating web-based distribution with a strict editorial focus on the local neighborhood the paper serves.

At the same time he was building up the Gazette, Mann established himself as a leader in the North Brooklyn community by joining with local elected officials and other leaders to develop and support numerous neighborhood improvement initiatives. Most recently, he led the reestablishment of the Greenpoint Chamber of Commerce, giving a united voice to North Brooklyn’s booming small business community.
