The Mexican eatery El Toro Taqueria, on Driggs Avenue, has quietly transformed into Toro Ironworks Kitchen and Bar, offering new additions including some Asian and Mediterranean inspiration.
Those menu items include Korean style tacos and enchiladas with kimchi and mango; and hummus combined with a Mexican-style salsa.
The changes were brought on by new owner Sebouh Yegparian, who has lived in North Brooklyn for over 20 years now.
Yegparian started off working in music industry and slowly transition to the food industry with over two years of managerial experience working at Mario Batali’s Eataly near Madison Square Park.
For Toro Ironworks, Yegparian also curated a craft beer list with many from Mexico like Day of the Dead and Ensanada.
