Soccer madness is around the corner with the football World Cup kicking off in Brazil on June 12. North Brooklyn’s not one to miss out on the action. A number of local pubs and bars are having specials to ring in the month long soccer extravaganza. The following are some of the available options:
Over the Eight and Jimmy’s Diner
Both are offering drink specials: 32 oz. Caipirinha specials for $28 and $8 for the 8 oz. version of the same drink.
In addition there will be a choice of meat and cheese empanadas, and a daily special item on the menu that coincides with the teams playing on a particular day.

Bud and Bud Light Beer Towers (128 ozs) for $30 as well as giveaways of World Cup branded merchandise like hats, t-shirts, key chains, and soccer balls during the games.

The Churrascaria will be showing all the games except on Mondays when the restaurant is closed. They have different specials each day of the week.
Tuesday: all you can eat Rodizio for $20 and bottles of wine for $20 as well.
Wednesday: Paella for $16 and Sangria pitchers for $18
Thursday: Fish + Chips and a draft of beer for $16
In addition they’ll be offering Portuguese and Brazilian beer specials.

The bar has nine flat-screen televisions that will be showcasing all the games right from the league stages to the finals. In addition there will be special $25 beer buckets when the games are telecast at the bar.
