On Thursday, February 6th, the Williamsburg High School for Architecture and Design (WHSAD) welcomed Councilman Antonio Reynoso for a tour of the highly ranked school.
Reynoso has been a strong advocate for WHSAD and its Career Technical Education (CTE) Program in Architecture. Along with Deputy Chief of Staff Jennifer Gutierrez, Reynoso was led on a tour of the school by students, including Albert Brunn (Senior), Karina Eumana (Junior), Anthony Diaz (Sophomore) and David Segarra (Junior). Throughout the tour students and the Councilmember engaged in discussion about the various programs offered at WHSAD, including mechanical drafting, Auto-Cad design and historic preservation.
Before wrapping up his visit, Reynoso received a plaque thanking him for his support – his first since taking office last month. He then delivered remarks to a Freshman class, encouraging them to make the most of the opportunities afforded to them by WHSAD’s program and to further develop their skills through the various coursework of which they are a part.
