Police Blotters (8/5 – 8/11) – 94th Precinct

ROBBERY

8/11
Norman Avenue and Guernsey Street
Perp approached victim from behind and asked for directions. The victim said that he was not from the area, but tried his best. The perp then asked for change. As the victim began giving the perp some change, the latter started hitting the victim in the face with a gun and tried to fish out an iPhone out of his pockets. Although at one point the victim managed to run away, the perp caught up to him and beat the victim again before fleeing the scene. The victim sustained several serious injuries, including a fractured nose and jaw, missing teeth, lacerations, severe bleeding and swelling. The perp was later arrested.

ASSAULT

Eagle Street
Perp entered victim’s apartment without permission. When the victim arrived and asked perp to leave, the perp yelled, “Why are you doing this to me?” and attempted to lock herself in the bathroom, where she lay down in the bathtub and started hitting her head against the wall. When the arresting police officer attempted to restrain and handcuff her, the perp bit his arm and began flailing her arms wildly. The perp also continued to hit her head on anything nearby while in the apartment and in an ambulance. She was later subdued and arrested.

BURGLARY

Wythe Avenue
Perp entered a commercial establishment and removed a cash box containing $1,121, a debit card and a credit card. Several employees entered and exited the building during the time of the suspected occurrence. No arrests have been made.

West Street
Victim’s vehicle broke down and was transported to a parking storage area to await repairs. When the victim picked up his vehicle, he discovered that his police radio unit, car keys and floor mats were gone. No arrests have been made.

Kent Avenue
Victim was preparing to make a delivery to Duane Reade when perp stole $6,000 worth of assorted cigarettes and locked the victim inside the delivery truck. No arrests have been made.

Newel Street
Perp entered victim’s apartment through a kitchen window and stole a laptop. No arrests have been made.

Bedford Avenue
Perp entered victim’s apartment and stole a laptop, an iPhone, a Google tablet and over $1,000. No arrests have been made.

GRAND LARCENY

8/5
Driggs Avenue
Perp stole victim’s purse at a bar. No arrests have been made.

Roebling Street
Victim placed his bag against a wall at a roof top party and left it unattended. When he came back, he discovered that his property was gone. No arrests have been made.

Kingsland Avenue and Meeker Avenue
Victim parked his Infiniti under the BQE. Upon returning, he discovered that all of his car’s tires and rims were gone. No arrests have been made.

N. 6th Street
Perp opened multiple credit card accounts in victim’s name. No arrests have been made.

N. 14th Street
Perp entered a commercial establishment and stole a laptop from an office storage room. No arrests have been made.

Norman Avenue
Victim put his bike for sale on craigslist. The perp sent the victim a $2,300 check and asked him to cash the check and send the difference through MoneyGram. The victim cashed the check and sent the perp $2,000, but was later informed by his credit union that the check was invalid. No arrests have been made.

Metropolitan Avenue and Lorimer Street
Victim entered a crowded L train. The perp followed carrying a newspaper and a white towel over his left arm and stood behind her. During the ride, the perp’s paper dug into the victim’s left arm, but she thought nothing of it. When the victim exited the train at Lorimer Street, a witness told her that the perp had stolen her wallet. Upon inspecting her pocketbook, the victim discovered that in fact her wallet was gone. No arrests have been made.

N. 3rd Street and Berry Street
Perp stole a computer monitor from the front desk area of a lobby. No arrests have been made.

GRAND LARCENY AUTO

Leonard Street and Engert Avenue
Victim parked his 1997 Suzuki Motorcycle at the above location. Upon returning, he discovered that his bike was gone. No arrests have been made.

N. 9th Street
Victim parked his 2012 KTM Motorcycle on N. 9th Street. Upon returning, he discovered that his bike was gone. No arrests have been made.

N. 8th Street
Victim parked his 2012 Dong Fang Moped on N. 8th Street. Upon returning, he discovered that his scooter was gone. No arrests have been made.

India Street
Victim parked his BSA Motorcycle on India Street. Upon returning, he discovered that his bike was gone. No arrests have been made.

Franklin Street
Victim parked his Ducati Motorcycle on Franklin Street. Upon returning, he discovered that his bike was gone. No arrests have been made.
