On Monday, February 25th, the students of PS 132 marched on Assemblyman Joe Lentol’s office demanding longer recess, reduced homework and fewer tests. Admittedly, they were actually there for their annual 100th day of school visit. Despite stiff competition from the Joe Lentol bobblehead on his desk (a birthday gift from his staff) and cat Brooke, the legislator managed to keep the kids’ attention (he told them he would get their picture in the newspaper!) and spoke with them about their schoolwork before sending them back for the stretch run to summer.
