We were incredibly shocked and saddened to learn of the death of longtime IS 318 Principal and new District 14 Superintendent Fred Rubino, on Monday, April 2nd. Freddy didn’t just educate children. He changed their lives by becoming a positive presence for all his students. Our condolences go out to his family and friends, his students and colleagues, many of whom described him, appropriately, as an icon.
