BP Markowitz Celebrates Polish-American Heritage Month

On Thursday, November 3rd, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz joined the Honorable Ewa Junczyk-Ziomecka, Consul General of Poland, for a celebration observing Polish-American Heritage Month at Brooklyn Borough Hall. Markowitz honored community activists Barbara & Edward Blyskal; Izabela Joanna Barry, the senior librarian at the Brooklyn Public Library; Zofia Klopotowska, editor-in-chief of Kurier Plus; Polish American Congress President, Downstate New York Division Frank Milewski; and the Pulaski Association of Business & Professional Men.

North Brooklyn Development Corporation Executive Director and Brooklyn’s Master of Ceremonies, Richard Mazur, emceed the fun-filled event, which featured traditional Polish music, dance, food and plenty of vodka.
